And for that other trial going on in Pierre.

The Reay trial reached it's conclusion yesterday with the Jury rendering it's verdict after a few hours of deliberation. Probably because that's how long it took them to fill out the forms.

If you are one of the few people who hadn't pre-judged him as guilty, guilty, guilty; there has to be something wrong with your logic and reasoning. From a friend of mine who was there to watch the closing arguments, I'm told Mark Barnett absolutely destroyed that incredibly weak and sorry story that Reay's 12 year old daughter went medieval on her mother and that he was just trying to be a helper and cover it up.

Of course, it didn't help that it was coming after he had previously tried (and failed) to frame his wife's boyfriend for the brutal murder.

This is one of those cases where I have to say, it's almost too bad they didn't go with the death penalty. It certainly seems like he might have deserved it. Regardless, with that guilty verdict that was rendered, Brad Reay has the rest of his life in prison to contemplate what he did.

GUILTY

I think it is inappropriate to suggest people have some sort of mental problem if they waited to allow a jury to decide the question of guilt or innocence. It is not a jugment required of any other than the jurors. I make no judgment as he is presumed innocent until proven guilty and decided by a jury of his peers. Today he is guiity, yesterday as dawn broke he was still legally innocent.

GUILTY. He's obviously has some issues if he is trying to blame his teenage daughter.

Yes, he does have issues, the primary one being that he is a gutless, anti-social, narcissistic piece of shit. He deserves to rot in prison. Hopefully his new roomies will consider his actions to rank up there with child molesters...we know what happens to them.

I hope you don't call yourself a Christian, anon 10:27.

11:17

As a matter of fact, I do. And I think God understands my justifiable anger.

No apologies here.

I think you need to reread your Gospels, anon 12:33. Here's a start:

Matthew 25:

34"Then the King will say to those on his right, 'Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world.

35For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in,

36I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.'

Emphasis added.

Mark 9:42
"Whoever causes one of these little ones who believe to stumble, it would be better for him if, with a heavy millstone hung around his neck, he had been cast into the sea." Mark 9:41-43

You aren't the only one with knowledge of the Bible. Just because I don't find this guy worthy of my compassion doesn't mean I'm not a Christian. It simply means I'm human, just like him. In the end, he'll have to answer to God (just like the rest of us)and whatever opinion of him you or I hold will not be relevent.

As for now: you go right ahead and feed him, quench his thirst, clothe him, and invite him in. Visit him if you want. I'd rather spend my time praying for the daughter whose life he tried to destroy.

Well, I can't argue with that.
