They're baaaaack...... Hillary to run for White House

KSFY News (and just about everyone else) is reporting this AM that New York Senator Hillary Clinton is making a run for the white house in 2008:

Democratic Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton embarked on a widely anticipated campaign for the White House on Saturday, a former first lady intent onbecoming the first female American president.

"I'm in and I'm in to win," she said on her website. Clinton's announcement, days after Senator Barack Obama shook up the contest race with his bid to become the first black president, establishes the most diverse political field ever.

Clinton is considered the front-runner, with Obama and 2004 vice presidential nominee John Edwards top contenders. New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson, who would be the first Hispanic president, intends to announce his plans on Sunday.

Read it all here. Here's a question I've got - which SD politicos are lining up besides whom? I noted that my friend Todd Epp sent out an e-mail on Edwards. Republican National Committeeman Ron Schmidt has been noted as working with the McCain Campaign. Several Daschle people have been working with the Obama Campaign.

So, where are the rest of them lining up. Who can we expect to be the Hillary chair in SD? Who's going to be Huckabee's point man or Romney's driving force in the state?

It matters, because the winning SD candidate gets the delegates in for conventions in very close proximity this year. So presidential backers - who are you and who's your man (or woman)?

I like Ron Paul and Sam Brownback!Let's see how much press you and the MSM give them!

While I am no supporter of Hillary, if she brings back the relative peace and prosperity of the 90's, I would welcome her with open arms.

Hilary is the best man for the job!

Hillary is a no starter. She needs to quit wasting resources.

James Carville says he's on Hillary's side. So, look out boys, he's comin' ta gitcha. If I were a Repub, I'd be pretty nervous. The times they are a changin'.

Are you kidding us? Hillary stands as much of a chance of winning the presidential election as a snow cone surviging in hell.

I'm not nervous and snow cones in hell and I'm sure as heck am not nervous about Hillary running.

I hope she runs a really hard race so she can waste all the liberal donors money!

I'm hoping she digs up dirt on Obama and flings it around in an attempt to discredit him (but it would all be done so that someone else would get the blame; actually it's already started!). He's probably a nice guy, but good grief, less than two years in the Senate and he thinks he's qualified to be President? Get real.

Hillary as Prez would be a disaster! What about the papers that were missing toward the end of Bill's tenure and suddenly mysteriously showed up in her possession. Or the Sandy Berger papers having to do with the Clinton's that mysteriously ended up in his pants? Or her campaign fund shenanigans? Of course, none of this gets investigated or reported on by the MSM. I'd like to see a Rep get by with the same stuff.

I dread the next two whole years with all this crap. Excuse my French, but that is what politics has descended into.

1:45. I'm with you. I'm astounded (no not really) about how the MSM has given Berger a pass.
AND, Obama may be a good guy but if he weren't African American he would just be another freshman Senator. And if Hillary weren't a woman we wouldn't be having this discussion at all.

See! There IS a God and he does answer our prayers! Hillary is going to run!

I want Hillary to win the Primary! In fact, I may even send her a campaign contribution!

The best way to guarantee a Republican victory is for Hillary to be selected as the Presidential candidate from the Democrats!

Send Hillary your money now! She must win the Primary! It will guarantee the Republican Party a victory!

Brownback is just a toady to the religious right-wing nutjobs in American. No way can he appeal to moderates.

Hilary is a viable candidate. WE need someone smart at the job after the know-nothing job Bush has done for 8 years.

I'd like to see John Edwards as Pres. nominee and Bill Richardson as VP if he can get past his desire to hype Hispanic language and culture. A good mixture of political appeal and experience.

Or, John Edwards and Wesley Clark. More of the same kind of mixture but with an ex-general.

I have suspected that the press hype of Hillary and Obama fits right in with VJ comment.

One thing for sure, the SD politico who lines up with Hillary for state chair, will have to submit theirs to the Testicle Lock Box.

So we will have Hillary and the 7 dwarfs now? How nice!

Does anyone think the press will have the courage to ask the tough questions, like what happened to Vince Foster? You can't control your husband why do you think you can run the Country?
