Any sane adult who gets their "tongue wagging" for this list should be sent on a slow train to North Dakota, to which we'll be annexed in six months if any of these guys are elected.
The end is near!
Dick Kelly and Bill Earley in 2010!

Where is Bob Sahr's name on this list? How about Larry Diedrich? John Pekas maybe? Anne Hayek? Or better yet, De Knudson!

Why doesn't the Mayor of the State's biggest city ever get mentioned on these lists? Certainly he could be talked into leading our GOP into the 2010's?
Someone call Georgia Hanson ASAP

Let's not forget Jarrod Johnson the rising star of the Repbulican Party!

OMG, anon, 5:04, that's a spitting image. Amazing.

I think Heidepriem beats any of these guys except for Daugard.
A few months ago, Bob Sutton was on this list. What happened?

The GOP won't have heavy weights like Barnett or Kirby this coming year. Just light weights like Mike Rounds. That know-nothing, do-nothing majic won't work again.

All Daugaard has to do is shed the Rounds cloak and he'll have it captured.
Dennis is the real deal. Everyone that knows him respects him - Dems and Reps alike. Anyone that meets him will be impressed.
Loot Gov, print up some bumper stickers and send 'em out. You're the next big thing.

Where's Bob Sahr. No not that Bob.
Where's Bob (Sutton)?
The other Bob (Gray) took his spot.

Daugaard is one candidate on this list who can not only win the nomination and win the election, but be an outstanding governor. Anyone who heard his speech at SDSU can see why he is special.

Sorry PP None of the above. I voted for Kloucek! He helped me out when I needed it. Some of the afore mentioned names would not even try!

3:29 AM anon, maybe if you slept, got off the meth and had a real job someone other than Kloucek would help.
There are some names on this thread that have no hope, so in that spirit I toss out:
Kip, our secretary of state. Rich, our auditor who has raised less in campaign cash than anyone since Volesky Volesky

Anyone who has met Dennis has to agree that his honesty and integrity is obvious.
You just can't go wrong putting an honest man in office.

They are all way too conservitive!

Matt Michels would be an excellent choice! Both Michels and Daugaard are excellent choices, but I prefer Michels for his breadth of experience (military veteran, community activist, attorney, speaker of the house, nurse, etc)

How about Larry Russell for Governor and Maka Duta for Lt. Governor?
Biparitsan... would lead to racial healing... they're on the same page in terms of campaign tactics...
Larry/Maka 2010!

How about Tim Rounds and Shantel Krebs. Now that's a disney ticket if I've every seen one...Beauty and the Rat!

Rounds family - the new political dynasty. Can't live with them, can't live without them.

Are there two Lee Schoenbeck's in this state? Because I cannot imagine the one I know being elected governor!

Let us have Napoli/Apa, the real conservatives, lead this state. My vote was for None of the Above.
Here's some of the information on the Corson County Charges: COUNT I That on or about December of 2005, in the County of Corson, State of South Dakota, Ted Alvin Klaudt did commit the public offense of SECOND DEGREE RAPE (SDCL 22-22-1(2)) in that he did accomplish an act of sexual penetration with his foster daughter, A.M., through the use of force or coercion; and as to COUNT II That on or about July or August of 2006, in the County of Corson, State of South Dakota, Ted Alvin Klaudt did commit the public offense of SECOND DEGREE RAPE (SDCL 22-22-1(2)) in that he did accomplish an act of sexual penetration with his foster daughter, A.M., through the use of force or coercion; and as to COUNT III That on or about July or August of 2006, in the County of Corson, State of South Dakota, Ted Alvin Klaudt did commit the public offense of SECOND DEGREE RAPE (SDCL 22-22-1(2)) in that he did accomplish an act of sexual penetration, separate and distinct from the act alleged in Count II, with

When they hold the special session (supposedly at the end of November) , since he's left them already, I think his colleagues should expel him from the caucus. Sure. At that point it's only going to be symbolic. But since he's already said he's running again in the near future, sometimes symbolism is enough.
Dave Kranz got a bit of a scoop on everyone with his column in the Argus Leader today noting that Dusty Johnson is at a point where he's considering the US House Race: "It is something I am considering. Any time you have a realistic opportunity to make South Dakota better, you have to take a look," Dusty Johnson says. "The thing for me: Can you be a good congressman and a good father?" and... "I have tremendous respect for Rep. Herseth Sandlin, but this is not about her. It is tough to sit on the sidelines as we deal with security and economic issues. It would be an opportunity for me to make a difference," Johnson said. Rep. Joel Dykstra is opening the door to a possible U.S. Senate campaign regardless of what Johnson decides to do. Read it all here . Actually, I'm intrigued by this lineup. It might mean Republicans have a solid congressional field to go into the election season with. When faced with a choice of this nature, it means that the Con
