The commission agreed with a recommendation from Rep. Tom Hennies, R-Rapid City, that voters should be educated about the proposed constitutional amendment’s ramifications. State legislators passed a concurrent resolution in February urging voters to vote against the amendment.

Commissioners are concerned that the law would affect not only judges but also citizen boards, school boards, county commissions, city councils, township boards, professional licensing boards and others who could be pulled in front of a non-elected special grand jury.
Read it all here. And another board rejects the amendment.
