Much a-doo about nothing

Congresswoman Herseth's new hairstyle was noticed in Roll Call in an article they did on Congresswomen being recognized after changing hairstyles.
Uh-oh, Capitol Police: Beware a couple of Members of Congress who have very different new hairstyles. But at least one of them promises that there will be no assaulting an officer if they aren’t recognized and get stopped at a security checkpoint.

Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-Fla.), who until Tuesday was a curly haired brunette, is now barely recognizable, sporting perfectly straight blonde hair. Regardless of whether she intended to, she’s turning heads left and right — from the left and the right, as both Democratic and GOP aides buzzed about Schultz’s new ’do Wednesday. ...

Also sporting a new sophisticated look is Rep. Stephanie Herseth (D-S.D.) who, as one Democratic aide surmised, “definitely didn’t get it done in Sioux Falls.”
There are moments when I seriously question my love affair with politics. This is one of them. Never let it be said that I am harsh on Democrats all the time. Because "who cares."

If she wants a "more metropolitan doo," I'm sure there are more things of substance that we can use as ammo in the campaign season.

Anon, I think I'd be anonymous too when making comments like that.

I was referring to anon's use of the "schwing" term (as popularized by Waynes World).

I'm pretty sure I've seen that unfortunate haircut being sported around the Sioux Falls mall.

The Herseth for Congress office did used to be in the same mini-mall at a Great Clips...

What is the deal with womens hair and South Dakota? There were several blogs about hair before, one on Kate Looby and then a couple other on Herseth.
How does changing your hair style mean you have decided to "cast aside your roots"?
Is there nothing else to do today?

Am I the only one who has not seen the new doo? Anything would be an improvement on the photo in the floating banner.

Looks like a mouse got loose in her hair and chewed its way out. Sorry, but this do is not as becoming or as professional looking as her prior one.

I'm more concerned about the comment that " it definitely wasn't done in SF". Is that a slam on SD? Was it one of her staffers? Is the person a South Dakotan?
