Go check out another well done candidate website for Tammy Weis. Tammy is running as the GOP candidate for the State Senate in District 15 at http://www.votetammyweis.com.
It's graphically pleasing, contains information on her issues and positions, and allows a user to volunteer and to donate on-line via pay pal. And it's easily navigated.

She decided to run for office when she and some people at a basketball game decided all women polticians are radicals? And she thinks she *isn't* a radical? LULZ.
Lucky for District 15 she doesn't stand a chance.

Whats so radical about talking politics with regular folks at a basketball game?
You Dems will pick apart anything!

I assume when she says radical, she means liberal. It makes me wonder if she's ever met Phyllis Heineman, Shantel Krebs, Keri Weems, Anne Hajek, Carol Twedt, and any of the other Republican female politicians just in the Sioux Falls area.
I guess it's fine if she and some "regular folks" at a game came up with some idea, but if the idea makes no sense at all, I have to question if she'll be an effective legislator.

Tammy is an amazing person. She is one of the most compassionate people I have ever met. She has empathy for people that is unparalleled. She is willing to listen, and when she speaks, she does so with intelligence and grace. As a lifelong democrat from District 15, I have every confidence in her ability to represent us, and I will be voting for her.

I too have found Tammy easy to listen to, fun and full of energy. She loves her country, this state, and its people. She thinks that she is just a "regular" wife, mother, and nurse but she really is a remarkable, amazing, intellegent woman who will listen and represent everyone, from every walk of life in our district. I too will vote for her.

If you want to waste time with a campaign that is DOA then go read her website. District 15 elects only Democrats and has a large Democratic majority.
As the only South Dakota blogger out with 5 daughters, I feel I need to weigh in on the whole discussion that's occurring with regards to the HPV vaccine, and Governor Rounds' proposal to make it available. My family (including my three oldest girls) watched my mom, their grandmother, succumb slowly and painfully to cancer which spread throughout her body. If a similar fate from a different type of cancer was preventable through a simple shot, why wouldn't anyone advocate for it? At the age most of my kids are going to be getting it, they're still playing with barbies, and negative influences such as most of the programming on MTV, and other assorted trashy television is verboten in my house. All they're going to know about this vaccination is that it's a shot, just like for teatnus or measles. They'll go "Ow, I don't want a shot," and that will be it. Just another mark on their vaccination record. One check box for DPT, one for HPV, and so on...
Here's some of the information on the Corson County Charges: COUNT I That on or about December of 2005, in the County of Corson, State of South Dakota, Ted Alvin Klaudt did commit the public offense of SECOND DEGREE RAPE (SDCL 22-22-1(2)) in that he did accomplish an act of sexual penetration with his foster daughter, A.M., through the use of force or coercion; and as to COUNT II That on or about July or August of 2006, in the County of Corson, State of South Dakota, Ted Alvin Klaudt did commit the public offense of SECOND DEGREE RAPE (SDCL 22-22-1(2)) in that he did accomplish an act of sexual penetration with his foster daughter, A.M., through the use of force or coercion; and as to COUNT III That on or about July or August of 2006, in the County of Corson, State of South Dakota, Ted Alvin Klaudt did commit the public offense of SECOND DEGREE RAPE (SDCL 22-22-1(2)) in that he did accomplish an act of sexual penetration, separate and distinct from the act alleged in Count II, with...
(Click on picture to enlarge) This fundraising letter is making the rounds across South Dakota. This one is from Sioux Falls, but I've also seen a few people in Pierre who have gotten it (an attorney or two). I've got to say that without a doubt this is one of the worst fundraising letters I've run across this year. It's not just that it says "Dear friends." Bleaugh. It's not just that it doesn't ask for an amount and you can barely tell that it's a fundraising letter. It's an entire letter of poison prose. Here's the basic structure of the letter - you tell me if you'd send her some money on the basis of it's content: Introduction Complain Complain Complain Vote for me Oh, there's also an envelope enclosed for some vague purpose. Boy, that one just makes me want to get out the checkbook. I've said before that "you need to show the need and make the pitch." In this letter, there's no illustrating why we shoul...
