Former School and Lands official has a new job

Congratulations to Barry Jennings, Office of School and Public Lands deputy to Bryce Healy. It was announced yesterday that he's the new Executive Director for the SD Beef Council.

And former Legislator Maury LaRue is the new mayor of Sturgis according to the Rapid City Weekly News:
Former City Council member and state legislator Maurice “Maury” LaRue was elected mayor of Sturgis, getting 832 votes to best Richard Deaver, who received 762 votes. Joseph Bryant, 18, got 424 votes.

At least that should keep ol' Lash LaRue from running for the legislature for a while.
