If you can't take the heat.... Then RUN AWAY... Run away
2-star Jailer-in-chief Bill Stegemier Deletes his blog.
I got back to Brookings a few minutes ago after a trip to Sioux Falls for work, with another work related stop in town after that.
And the first thing I saw in my e-mail box was a note from a reader pointing out that Bill Stegmeier deleted his entire blog with a love note to myself and Progressive on the Prairie which reads:
I mean, so what if South Dakota's two-star jailer in chief Bill Stegemeier thinks the IRS is illegal? So what if he wrote that governments have no rights to require marriage licenses? So what if he pens missives that the US Government blew up the twin towers and the Arab terrorist thing is just a ruse? He certainly felt strongly about his opinions as he posted on many of those topics.
Well, ok. It might be because the average South Dakotan would consider them as completely off the wall.
This one might be a tough one for them to handle. I mean, Since Bill's views are too out of the mainstream for South Dakota, he's doing what he did with the JAIL national organization. He's going to distance himself from himself.
Aside from that, Bill's views on government seem to parallel another idea that I consider equally off the wall - the South Dakota Judicial Accountability Act, otherwise known as Amendment E. And that's E for Extra Eccentric.
In today's Dave Kranz column in the Argus, they announced that their letterhead contains the names of 80 South Dakotans who are supporting the measure. And that they are going to soon go on a 27 town tour to push the measure.
I have no debate experience to speak of. And I don't do a lot of speaking in front of groups. But in one session, I'm pretty confident that if I got going on it, I could give this measure a merciless pounding that would leave little doubt in the audience's mind as to how they should vote.
Let me tell you - I can't wait until they bring it to Pierre.
Because I'll be waiting.

Hello South Dakota War College and Progressive on the Prairie!I must say that I'm a bit shocked. Why would anyone delete their personal thoughts and feelings as they've posted on the internet?

You can see the whole thing there, or update your old links for those who have them.
Do you always submit the same thing twice?
Do you always submit the same thing twice?
(So much for me being the one with psychomoter retardation. You must be a little too familiar with that term.)
And at this moment, I'm not getting one single dime from this.
I'm doing it because I believe the measure is bad legislation foistered upon South Dakota by a bunch of people who don't live here.
I doing it because I believe it's legitimately bad law that's warping the checks and balances system of our government.
I doing it because I believe it's an irresponsible measure.
Yes, Amendment E is on the ballot. And it's equally as important for South Dakotans to know of it's origins, the type of people who wrote it, and the people who support it.
I'm sure Bill's a personable and friendly guy. But his world view is a bit askew with that of most South Dakotans.
He thinks the US blew up the trade towers. I would argue most people would not agree, and the view is SO extreme, they need to ask themselves "If this is the guy pushing this measure, how can I support it."
You wanted to know why Bill's views are being brought into question, that's why.
I'm sure anonymous posted twice from trembling after banging his sister. Because only an inbred hillbilly would support J.A.I.L.
...and mjb abides
Actually most Americans believe there was at leat a government cover up if not involvement in the twin towers incident...check out the poll conducted by Access Hollywood...OVER 80% of people agree with charlie Sheen
You are not serious, right? An unscientific online poll from that journalistic powerhouse Access Hollywood is you and Bill Stegmeier's proof about a crank conspiracy theories involving 9/11?
Is this the typical JAILer mindset? I guess so.
I'll say the same thing that I have said to every other "Educated" person....LOOK IT UP!! Check the allegations for your self!! But don't say "Conspiracy" if you can only use what we have all been told on TV as your proof...
As opposed to what, you and Stegmeier's things you've seen on the web that supposedly show conspiracy theories?
15 years ago it was the posse comitatus nuts.
10 years ago it was the militia nuts.
5 years ago it was the y2k is going to lead to martial law nuts hunkering in bunkers.
Today, it is Stegmeier and his crank JAIL conspiracies.
Why'd Stegmeier delete his blog if it is the truth? PP had the answer. Stegmeier realizes how absolutely insane his conspiracy theories sound outside his little JAIL world and he's going to keep quiet about it hoping no one noticed.
Well, we did. And as Coat Hangers At Dawn said before: Stegmeier did NOT delete his blog completely. It is still out there along with his insane lunatic theories.
I wonder what the people of SD will think of them. Stegmeier knows what they'll think. That's why he tried to erase it.
And anon, yes, I did delete your comment accusing someone of a criminal sexual act without documentation.
You want to post that kind of stuff, start your own blog. And these are the same standards I apply to everyone.

SOUTH DAKOTA RETIREMENT SYSTEM
COMPREHENSIVE ANNUAL FINANCIAL REPORT
Why else would the legislators and the big business lobby come out so strong against Amendment E?
Why would you and your buddies be so intent on your character assassination of Bill Stegemier?
There's only one logical answer. You either have something to loose if it passes and much to gain if it doesn't. That's the way it works in politics today.
Did Bill Stegmeier not write the words on this blog with his crank conspiracy theories?
The fact that he erased them all when they came out is proof they were his words and he is trying to erase them because they are the truth about his real motives behind Amendment E.
Those are eyes not boobies(Perverts)
RR: I am confused.
What's to be confused about Anonymous? Anyone who blows the whistle on government corruption knows the kind of back lash they are going to get from the press, Anonymous bloggers, and well, you get the picture.
So the guy deleted his blog, big deal. Maybe he has better things to do with his time now that Amendment E is on the ballot.
What's your claim to fame Anonymous?
Maybe he deleted his blog because he is realizing that describing women who go by Ms. as Lesbians, talking about the great IRS hoax, and saying that the US Government blew up the twin trade towers is not going to earn him votes.
That kind of talk is ALMOST as goofy as saying people oppose JAIL because "the Judges are the ones in charge of protecting the Corporate State Business Interests. One only has to look into where the State Retirement Program is invested to understand why the average Joe will loose in court against the big insurance company..."
Maybe some of us are against the measure because those who are promoting it come off as deluded and spend their time trying to come up with the next great conspiracy theory.
JAIL is an attempt to legitimatize the same kinds of attackes on the judiciary that the anti-government militia types tried to do in the 1980s and 90's to get out of paying taxes.
The only thing that JAIL would do is to upset and pervert the system of checks and balances that our founding fathers set up over 200 years ago.
And I can almost see them in the afterlife spitting in disgust over attempts to pervert the foundation of our country.

Bill's world view is a bit askew with that of most South Dakotans.
He thinks the US blew up the trade towers. He thinks the IRS is a hoax. He refers to women who go by Ms. as lesbians. (his words from his blog, not mine).
He wants to propose laws for South Dakotans to vote on - he should expect we're going to take a hard look at the messenger as well as the message.
