Referring back to the Herseth Fluff article

As referred to in the Argus Fluff article on the Herseth wedding - Here's one for those who aren't familiar with the song set to be played for the couple's first dance -

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VtadUsFwhhQ

Someone out on You Tube has posted the song as recorded on TV back in 1967.

Groovy, man.

Pat,

In the interest of fair play, what was your wedding song?

Inquiring minds want to know...

Hey,
Ours was "Colour My World" ---Chicago. Married in 1978.

Of course we were both the same generation--I didn't marry Grandpa and have a song from the big band era.

Actually, it was "cupid."

O heck i don't recall our song. Maybe we didn't have a wedding song just in our honor. Opps. But then we were not married in SD though we live here now.
Is that a curse to the marriage???
Just kidding.

Do you suppose that all of us Brookings residents will get the chance to decorate the car and do all the fun things to their house in Brookings. I mean it is not supposed to be every day you get married!!
Just in fun of course.

I am sure we could all do this (decorate) in a non partisan way you know.

I'd be seriously disappointed if things such as decorations weren't approached "in a bipartisan way."

I'll bring the Elephants! Do ya think we need that little dog from Blues Clues? Is that what the show is called??? Those Donkeys you know are obstinate I don't have the time...

Wasn't the word "groovy" from the 70's not the 60's??????
Just wondering since PP listed it at the bottom of his posting.
I kind of like the "Far Out" or "Funky" myself.

The opening lyrics for her wedding dance should be, "Young girl ... get out of my mind.... My love for you is way out of line. Better run girl.... Your much too young girl ....."
