Wow. This has been an interesting evening.

This has been an interesting evening. My phone has been ringing off of the hook after that last story on the accusation of a Senator committing a violation of Senate rules.

And even worse than that, I had an reader honor my request and (very anonymously) send me the Garry Moore letter. And frankly, now that I see the allegation alluded to in writing, I kind of wish I could "unsee" it. Why? Because this story is going to blow wide open.

You can tell from the letter that the Senator is UNhappy with his fellow caucus member. Aside from the seriousness of the allegation, it seems like he's doubly mad from finding out about it from someone other than the legislator himself.

Okay. Without disclosing the Legislator and the allegations, I will provide this much:

I'm going to sit on the rest for a while. I need to run that by a couple of respected opinions before I lay it all out there.

I will open up comments here. Only so long as you A.) keep it civil., and B.) don't name names or allegations please. Or I will shut comments down.

I may even do it while I have to leave it unattended while I sleep.

Ugh. this is not a fun topic to post on.

And while I'm at it, if anyone does have the Schoenbeck letter I'm still looking for that one. E-mail it to me here.

I think this is what experts refer to as a "tease."

It seems that given the apparent gravity of this allegation (and your response to it) that it would be in the best interest of the voters and your readers to be direct and open.

If this situation has involved a discussion among the political leaders of the state, the voters of the state also have an interest in the matter. It has traveled beyond the rumor mill.

I can't imagine why the media in this state hasn't reported on this issue if there is hardcopy validation. With letter in hand, I hope that you'll have the courage to publish the truth.

Anon 2, that's all well and good for you to say.

Especially as you post anonynmously.

I'm shutting comments on this post down (already) and sleeping on it.
