A sneak peek on the Educational Alliance's plan to increase educational funding

Just a quick note on the Educational Alliance's plan to increase educational funding - I don't have a lot of details just yet - but I'm told it involves dipping into the educational enhancement trust fund principal and increasing in sales tax.

More as it comes..

I don't favor dipping into principal because that just lowers the possible benefit long term.

But I do definitely favor a statewide penny sales tax dedicated soley to K-12 education. Money into an escrow account, money out yearly to the school districts on a per student basis. NOT a part of the ridiculous formula. And no complicated bureaucracy as middle man. Money in, money out per student, simple.
