I guess I'm not the only one departing.

I guess I'm not the only one moving on to greener pastures. I hear today that a cabinet secretary submitted their resignation.

Stay tuned to your statewide news media to hear who.

UPDATE: A member of the MSM confirmed it. DOT Secretary Judy Payne has submitted her resignation to Governor Rounds.

Judy did a wonderful job at DOT. I'm surprised she stayed as long as she did at that last bastion of male supremacy. Way to go Judy!

Yes Judy did what she was hired to do, cut heads and make them roll....Today our DOT has never been in worse shape, SD is paying so many consultants to do the work that good DOT employees use to do.

Interesting... a DOT bribery scandal breaks out and the Secretary resigns a few days later.

This is usually how big scandals start...

She's tending to personal family issues. You can't fault her for that. It's actually pretty honorable. Besides, Rounds never fires anyone.
