A last shot at Heidepreim

I believe this one was in the Sunday paper against Heidepreim:

hah! that's going to hurt.... millionaire trial lawyer pretty boy and liberal hack Hyrderprim gets zapped for bilking tax payers! i love it

I was just going to vote and vote for Hidepriem, but now I've changed my mind. This arrogance and suing everybody is out of control. If he wants to spend more on stuff, he can do that in the legislature. He shouldn't be suing people to get more spending.

Hiedeprem's campaign finance reports will show that his whole campaign was funded by other trial lawyers who suck us all trial with their constant lawsuits -- they all scratch each other's backs

This is proof that the republicans know Kelly is in a heap of trouble. Kelly is toast by a lot.

That ad is the most shameless, lying piece of $#^& this whole election. Heidepriem is not suing taxpayers. School districts are suing the state for adequate funding, and are represented by Republican Scott Abdallah.

The Republicans have brought such ruin to our schools that 80% of them have had to opt out and raise property taxes. This even though our Education enhancement fund has gone from $85 million in 2002 to $371 million today. IF THE REPUBLICANS WOULD USE EDUCATION MONEY FOR EDUCATION THE SCHOOLS WOULDN'T HAVE TO SUE!

Will there be millions $$$ in lawyer fees? No, and Dick Kelly knows it but he will tell any lie to get elected.

This ad pushed me over the edge. I am no longer a Republican. And by the way, will Gene Abdullah be resigning his seat in the legislature since his son will be getting millions from the taxpayers. Or is this not a close enough conflict of interest.
And will Dave Knutson have to resign since his law firm has numerous contracts with the state?

Dick Kelly's technique - If you can't win an election honestly, mislead the voters. I am tired of the GOP telling half-truths while self-righteously clutching a Bible.

I was a Democrat until I saw this ad and now I'LL NEVER VOTE DEMOCRAT AGAIN after they keep suing everyone into bankrupty!

when will the Democrats stop whining???? they sue the taxpayers and try to steal all their money though legal funny business and they expect taxpayers to like that???

maybe Hydroperm should wait until he's in the legislature...you know, the legislature which actually sets school funding levels. It's not the courts that set spending levels. Maybe he learned that at Harvard, but it doesn't fly here.

Kind of a classless, low blow. Let's stick to issues and the candidates themselves, not the places where they work.

I was pissed off when Billion nudged Rounds about having so many relatives in State Gov., and I'm pissed that the Repubicans are stooping this low.

So much for character.

I am renouncing my membership in the Democratic Party because they have accepted a turncoat former "Republican" like Hedeprim... Hey Scotty, Sue THIS

Wow. So the SD Republican party wasn't satisfied with their last attack ad against Heidepreim? After all the news coverage of how awful that was, I thought they would've learned their lesson.

I don't know Heidepreim, nor am I a Democrat, but I think Dick Kelly and other Republicans have been acting shamelessly in that campaign.

lee, quitting posting under anonymous.

everyone knows it's you.

Dickless Kelly's slam piece is going to backfire -- big time.

You hot heads need to think before shooting. Remember what happened to Cheney.

Funny how so many of you blast Heidepriem and Turbak for being sue happy millionaire lawyers but give Schoenbeck a pass. I guess being a sue happy millionaire lawyer isn't a big deal so long as their politics mirror yours. Hypocrits.

Republicans got sick of Herdenprim being a whiny biach and when people stopped bowing down before his great brilliance he quit his party...even though he had always called himself "Mr. Republican" this guys makes John Kerry seem genuine

That's funny. I remember that the Republican Party found Scott very useful when they wanted an attorney to do their dirty work. I guess loyalty is on a one-way street, which is exactly why Scott left y'all. Suckers.

We Democrats are patient. We enjoy the Republicans you send our way because you can't tolerate diversity. Keep up the good work and you'll talk yourselves out of a majority in Pierre as well as D.C.

Tomorrow morning, the next race for governor starts: Heidepriem over Schoenbeck, 56-44%. You heard it here first, people.

To all that criticize, Scott about being wealthy. Why do you despise somebody who works hard and has money, Because if you despise Scott Heidepriem, then you must also despise, George Bush (who hasn't worked hard), Steve Kirby (who inherited all his money), Lee Schoenbeck (if he has money), and all the other people who have any money.
South Dakota will never be first in anything because we despise successful and rich people...especially successful rich democrats or moderate Republicans.

Heideprim may be the Democratic nominee for Governor in 2010, but the Republican nomination is up for grabs--Schoenbeck, Michaels, Mickelson, Daugaurd, etc... Heideprim may get 40%

Scott has worked hard and been successful. Sounds a lot like what the American dream is all about. Good for him.

Interesting that the same party that supports Scott Abdallah's father takes an unfounded shot at his partner.

Speaking of the Governor's race..Can Janklow run again?? Just curious...

I feel bad for Dick Kelly.

Even if he wins, he will be hanging his head at cracker barrel sessions the next two years.

There is a difference between winning ugly and winning dishonestly.

No matter what you think of Dick, he had his integrity and his "handlers" have stripped him of that.

This ad backfired. I was leaning toward voting for Kelly but when I saw how low he and/or his party would stoop, I decided I couldn't back them and voted for Heidepreim instead. Keep in mind that Heidepreim isn't suing anybody - he's just representing someone who has a complaint. That's what lawyers do - represent someone else's interests.
